Coming soon/ No event date set yet: Do you long for deeper, more meaningful connection—both with others and with yourself? Ever wish conversations felt more alive, real, and heart-opening? Are you drawn to personal exploration—especially around parts of your personality that hinder your openness and authenticity?
In a world increasingly shaped by tech and AI, authentic human connection is more vital than ever. It nourishes our nervous systems, lights up our hearts, and shows us who we are. In the presence of real connection, we often glimpse parts of ourselves that need attention and care.
In this group, we’ll harness two powerful human development ‘technologies’ in a hybrid format. IFS offers a method to illuminate our inner emotional landscape and bring healing to the parts of us that carry hurt. Authentic Relating offers playful, courageous ways to be more fully seen and to truly see others. Together, they create a rich ground for insight, aliveness, and overall personal growth.
The group will be formatted as an Authentic Relating group. But with the addition of IFS “parts” questions embedded throughout, and 3-5 min “going inside” pauses for attendees to reflect on their internal, present moment experiences.
Who: This event is for all of you out there who care deeply about your impact on others. You strive to be kind and considerate in how you speak and act – while also recognizing that your own needs matter, and that your authenticity is often a great gift to your relationships when expressed with care.
Because the event is a drop-in group with “live” interpersonal practices, it does involve some emotional vulnerability. Therefore, it’s best suited for people who feel prepared to engage in a group setting where strong emotions may arise, and who are comfortable practicing self-regulation within that environment. Of course, event facilitators are present and available to provide support when the needs of the larger group don’t come first.
What: The majority of the event will take place in small breakout groups in order to maximize the amount of time for direct practice. Group facilitators will be available to join breakouts at any time to offer support if needed.
A key focus for this event: Many parts of our personality only reveal themselves while in communication with others. Without a real-world social environment, there are limits to how much we can effectively “work” on parts of ourselves. In uniting these two models, this group aims to provide unique opportunities for personal growth.
